Only 6 days from now, you are attending the JAWS Waterpolo tournament! On Saturday 14th we have a fantastic Flower Power party in cafe Heffer (Oudebrugsteeg 7, 1012 JN Amsterdam). The party starts at 22:00. Get dressed in your most outrageous outfit! On Sunday 15th the tournament will kick-off at 13:00 in the Sloterparkbad (name of the swimming pool) in Amsterdam. The Pool will be opened at 12:30, so you can get changed in time This e-mail will give you the latest updates and information about our tournament: 1. The party on saturday 14th Location of the party is Cafe Heffer (Oudebrugsteeg 7, 1012 JN Amsterdam, telephone: 020-4284488). It starts at 22:00. Route: From Central Station walk down the Damrak in the direction of the Dam Square. On your left, there is little water. Turn left (after about 200m) into the Oudebrugsteeg. Walk down this street about 50-100m. The cafe is the big white building in front of you (on the right hand side of the Oudebrugsteeg). It has the this text on it: Heffer Acijnshuis Heffer. The entrance of our party is on the right-handed side of the cafe. Walk down the stairs there to enter our party area. 2. The Swimming pool: Het Sloterparkbad Address: President Allendelaan 3, Geuzenveld-Slotermeer, Amsterdam Route with Public transport: Take tram 14 or 7 in direction Slotermeer. Get out at the final destination, the sloterpark stop. From there follow the President Allenelaan (the big road) in southeast direction. About 100m from there, the swimming pool Sloterparkbad is on your left-handed side. 3. Start of tournament The swimming pool opens at 12:30. By then the teams are allowed to get in and get changed. The matches start at 13:00, so make sure you are on time! 4. Entrance and changing-rooms The Entrance of the pool is on the left side of the building (it's NOT the big entrance in the middle of the building). The changing-rooms are on the first floor. When you enter the building through the entrance on the left, go upstairs. You'll find the changing-rooms here. 5. Meetingpoint The captain of your team should come to the tournament organisation table inside the swimming pool after getting changed. We will inform him here and he will get a tournament brochure with information. 6. Rules To make sure the tournament runs smoothly, few rules apply. A match lasts 2 x 8 minutes gross A personal foul lasts 30 seconds There is not much time in between matches, so please make sure you are at the poolside on time Referees and the Tournament organization have the right to make changes in the match roster if necessary The Tournament organization has the right to disqualify a team or a person for the complete tournament or for, a not yet specified, number of games, if one behaves inappropriately. Please clean your team spot, don't leave behind any stuff that belongs in the recycle bin. Get ready to be Amsterdamned on the 14th and 15th of April! PEACE!
